FFPs do nothing, but people like to have them. I encourage the uploading of MD5s with FLAC shows because they can help verify if a file is missing. FLAC files have internal fingerprints, so neither FFP or MD5 files are mandatory.

Create a program that checks whether the file set is complete using the ffp file. Just a thought..
